When manually porting a custom recovery or rom you need to identify the mount points of the device you're porting to in other to port correctly and succeed in making a functional custom recovery.
The mount points tell the recovery / boot how a phone's partition is structured so it can directly flash files and packages to the right partition when flashed over a custom recovery or when booting a boot image.

Getting any MTK phone's mount points
- Launch MTK DroidTools
- Enable USB debugging mode on your phone and connect it a computer
- Once the once the phone is detected by DroidTools, click on Blocks Map and all the attached device mount points will be displayed in a new window.
